Flare Raises $35 Million in Private Round Including Aves Lair

In February 2024, Layer-1 blockchain Flare raised $35 million in a private round that included investment from Kenetic, Aves Lair, and others. Aves Lair has since rebranded as Syntax Capital.

Flare is a Layer-1 network for data that supports smart contract protocols and focuses on pricing oracles, which relay asset prices to and from decentralized finance applications.

Early investors in the project also agreed to extend token distribution to the first quarter of 2026, with a selling limit of 0.5% of the token’s daily trade volume.
